Cynthia

Cynthia is devoted practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga. Beginning her Yoga studies at a young age, she grew up in the Kundalini Yoga 3HO community of Yogi Bhajan. Early memories include Yoga camps in the New Mexico mountains, delicious chai and prasad after morning meditation, and cold showers! Most of Cynthia’s childhood was spent studying classical violin, which she credits for giving her the discipline to get on the Yoga mat every day. Growing up, she was lucky to have a supportive family which encouraged her to travel, exploring India, Asia, Europe, New Zealand, and all over the U.S.

Cynthia began a daily practice of Ashtanga Yoga in 2009, and has been studying with Chris van der Merwe since that time. In 2010, she traveled to Rishikesh, India for the Yoga of the Heart immersion program with Mark Whitwell. She has also completed the Namaste Pacific 200-Hr Yoga Teacher Training Program. She is deeply interested in, and continues to study, Sanscrit chanting and meditation.

Cynthia is passionate about Yoga and the positive change it brings to one’s life. She believes Yoga is for everyone. She is honored and grateful for the opportunity to share Yoga with others every day.
